Will you calm down already!? Shego yelled sitting next to Drakken. Honestly, you act like this is your first time flyingHELLOyou own a HOVER CAR! she said. Gah! I know that! But this is differentwere not controlling this THING! Drakken replied. Thats the idea moron! Were on va-ca-tion! she shot back. Butbut what if theres a problem and the pilots get knocked out and Drakken began. Shego put her hand down on his. Then well bailI meanseriouslyweve ditched plenty of lairs just before theyve blown upTHIS should be easy she said surprised that she was legitimately trying to console him. O-ok he said. Shego rubbed the top of his hand and gripped it tight. Everythings going to be ok she said.

Drakken let out a big sigh of relief as they exited the plane. See! Now was that so bad!? Shego said behind him. II guess notI DID like the hand-holding, he said smiling and looking off to the side. Shego smiled too, blushing ever so slightly. Drakken, unlike her, was always speaking his mind. YeahIll bet you did! she finally replied. If the plane ride had caused Drakken any grief, it was nothing compared to the frustration he felt while they waited to pick up their luggage. Gah! Where is it! he yelled. Calm down! It takes them a little while to get it off the plane, she said. Theyd move it a little faster if they knew it belonged to the worlds latest hero! he shot back. Ummyeayou WERE the worlds hero until you tried to kidnap she began. Gah! Zip-it Shego! Id rather not talk about THAT little mishap! he said. Shego crossed her arms and looked away from him. Fine by me! You know, it probably isnt helping that you tried to bring your entire laboratory along with you! she said. Hey now! You never know when those tools may come in handy! he replied. Ill tell you one thing! I see you even TOUCH that toolbox after we put it in the room and you can forget about getting anything from me! she shot back. And what kind of THINGS would that be! he yelled. She looked at him with a raised eyebrow and he knew exactly what she was talking about. Ohwell in that caseummI wont he said. Good boy! she replied patting his shoulder. Drakken leaned in to kiss her, but she backed away. Just WHAT are YOU trying to do! she said teasingly. Drakkens face dropped into embarrassment. I was justyou know he said looking around. Oh I get it! Were in PUB-LIC he growled. He threw his hands in the air and waved them frantically. DAMN YOU PUBLIC! he yelled. Shego quickly grabbed his arms, turned him around, and gave him a passionate kiss. Will you shut up! she said as they pulled away. Oh I get it! So that was just to make me stop! he said. Yesit was, but THIS is because I love you! she said pulling him back, wrapping her arms around his neck, and kissing him tenderly.

Ooo! Nice room! Drakken said as they opened the door to their hotel suite. Thanks, I figured youd like it, she said. Drakken rubbed the back of his neck. I really appreciate you taking control of this whole vacation thing for me he said. Ehh dont mention it Im a veteran at thisand besidesIts the least I can do for that nice lair you built me, she said. They put their bags down and looked out the window. So what do you wanna do now? Walk on the beach!? Drakken asked. Nah, not tonight! Its too latebesides, I dont even know where my bathing suit is! she replied. Drakken shrugged. I just figured itd be nice and romanticdont need your swimsuit for that! he said. I knowbut lets not rush ok? Weve got a whole week to get allmushy againbesides Im starvinglets go eat! she said.

Hello and good evening! My name is Rodger, and Ill be serving you tonightwhat can I get you Miss? the waiter asked. HmmIll take the Teriyaki Chicken Saladand a raspberry iced tea, Shego said. Very goodand you Sir? Rodger asked. Ummgimme the Southwestern Steak Burgerand a ch-I mean a coke Drakken said. Shego smiled at him mockingly from across the table. Now theeeeeres an adult! she said. They were at a fancy little restaurant about two blocks away from their hotel. It was nice…stone walls, walnut tables, warm lighting, and a view of the ocean. Shego was wearing a green tank top, mid-length black skirt with seductive slits on the sides, and matching toeless heels. Drakken wore a casual pair of dark pants, black slip-on shoes, and a tan button-down shirt. Well this is nice Drakken said. Mmmhmmm, Shego replied. You know I never thought Id be doing this he said. I know its new to you, but trust meyoull like vacationing, she replied. Not thatIm talking about thisme and youdinner together. You know when I was a little kid, I used to go out every now and then with my parents to eat he said twirling a fork. Shego had been about to scold him for putting himself down again, but he seemed to be leading into something else. They would warn me to be on my best behavior and what not, and then wed orderandas we sat there waitingII noticed somethingmy parents would look at each otherdeep and affectionateand I know I was pretty young at the time, but I still understood what it meant he said. Shego was looking directly at him now, giving him her full attention. My parents loved each othertheyhad each otherand I knew that they cared about me and allbut I couldnt help but feel sad as I sat there in my seatwithout anyone for ME to look atII twirled a fork in my hand, just as I am nowand I hoped that some dayI would look up from my fork and see somebody looking back at me he said looking up at her. As he did, she smiled at him, eyes glistening. What have you done with Drakken she said innocently in disbelief at how sincere and deep he had just been. He cleared his throat and blinked. S-sorry about that Shegoits justwellI waited a long timeover twenty yearsto find youbut I never gave up hopeall the patiencewas well worth it, he said. She blinked back tears and reached over the table to hold his hand. Your wait is over she said.

Back at the hotel room, the refreshing feel of the air conditioner was a welcome change to the humid, hot atmosphere outside. Drakken was on his back, Shego wrapped up cozy next to himthey were both very tired. This is the best part! Drakken said suddenly. Hanot tonight Im tired Shego replied. No! I meanwhen I was a boy he began. Huh!? Shego shot back in confusion. After wed come home from dinnerId lie in my bed, on my backand feel coldandand Id cry a littleyou know? he said. Yea cuz ALL super villains are actually just big crybabies! she said sarcastically. Thats not what I meant Shego! he said. She sighed and touched his face. I knowI got lonely too! she said. Wasnt that awful!? he asked. Drew I didnt know WHAT was going to happen to me the next dayI justDIDNT! she said snuggling closer to him. Behind every villainess, theres a very lonely girl she finished. and behind every villain, theres a man with a broken heart he added. She got up and looked at him after hearing this. Guess Im not much of a villain anymore he said smiling at her.

The next day, Shego was reclining in her beach chair as Drakken made sand castle. She lifted her sunglasses and said, What are you doing!? He looked up at her and replied, Designing my latest Before he could finish, she had gotten up and stomped all over his creation. AHH! SHEGO! he screamed. She grabbed his shirt and said, Were on VA-CA-TIONso lose the shirt, lose the visor, and lose the attitude! Drakken gulped and removed his sun visor as she let go of him. Umd-do you really think I should take off my shirt? he said nervously. UhhYEA! Unless youre wearing a bra or something! she replied. Drakken scowled and began lifting the shirt up over his head. Im just so used to wearing a big, heavy coatIt feels weird being half-naked out in public! he said. You look FINE to me! she said rubbing her head. Ha! Really!? he beamed. Yesreeeaaallynow come on lets go down to the water! she said grabbing his arm.

They were lying on their backs as the sun began to sink low. I think youre turning purple! Shego said. Drakken looked at himself in shock. WHERE!? he yelled. Shego let out a burst of laughter. Nowhereits just a tan! she replied. Ohwell I like yours! he said. Thanks she said coolly. Who would have thought I could enjoy an entire day on the beach without building a single doomsday device! he said. Yeawho couldve guessed THAT! she replied sarcastically. He glared at her for a second and scratched his shorts. I AM beginning to despise this accursed sand though! he said. So youll take a shower she said. He continued to scratch himself for a few more seconds, when he noticed the sky turning pink. Sure is nice out hereI can SEE how you would wanna get away to this every now and then, Drakken said. Shego shrugged, I loved it during the daybut its like YOU were sayingit got lonely at night, she said. Not really Paradise then was it? he asked. Oh it was still Paradisejust not to me she replied. They wrapped their arms around one another as they watched the day go night.

So you DONT wanna go anywhere tonight!? Drakken said in amazement. Thats rightdid I stutter!? she shot back. Well noits justI thought he began to say. Look…you did something I wanted todayso lets do something YOU wanna do she said. His face lit up as he heard this, then fell into an evil grin. “So…you’re saying that I could begin work on my new…” he began to say. “EXCEPT THAT!” she barked. He gulped and regained his composure. “R-rright…ok then…so you mean we could stay up all night eating junkfood and watching Dancing With B Class Actors!?” he said with excited eyes. She smacked herself in the face and replied, “Fiiiiiine…if THAT’S how you wanna spend OUR vacation…I guess I could do it…” she said. Drakken felt a pang of guilt as he saw Shego fold her arms and frown at the floor. He walked up to her and rubbed her back, but she shrank down into her shoulders and refused to look at him. “You know Shego…there is…ONE thing I would like to do moooooreee!” he said teasingly. “And that would be!?” she shot back at him. He pulled her in close and gave her a big kiss, rubbing her back the whole time. “Oh come on Shego! You knoooow!” he said smiling wickedly.

She was panting as she rolled off of him. So she said gasping. How long have you beenwaiting for THAT! she said. He reached over and pulled her in close. Too long! he replied. She laughed a little, trying to catch her breath. So whaddya wanna do tomorrow? she asked. Dont care he began as he grabbed her hands and kissed them. long as Im with you She smiled widely and thought, Damn! How can he be so freakin sweet all the time! Without hesitation, she threw herself back over him and embraced him. Oh Drew she said. What? he said. She laughed and kissed his cheek. I love you she said. Ilove you too! he said holding her tight. Right then, right there, life couldnt get any better
